Direct Public Access

Some of our barristers can be consulted by, or advise or represent, members of the public on a direct access basis.

That means you can instruct a barrister direct without using a solicitor to do so, often thereby reducing the amount you will pay globally in fees.

You can call our barristers’ clerks to explore this direct access option, in strict confidence and without any obligation to instruct a barrister at Leamington Spa Chambers.

Direct access is generally undertaken on a privately funded basis. Legal services provided under direct access include face to face advice, written Advice and Opinions, representation in courts, tribunals, other forums including mediation and arbitration, and courts marshall. Terms apply.

Our barristers will put in place a client care letter, setting out their terms and fees, before undertaking a piece of work.

For more information, see the following Bar Standards Board (the regulator of barristers in England and Wales) guidance:-
